Welcome!
Since you're already here, how about sharing one of your favorite memories about a present from the past? For starters - a BIG RED shiny metal TEXACO gasoline tanker truck that was sooo big, I could sit on it and schooch around the room. Well, it looked big to a three (nearly 4 year old!) I saw it in the attic lately - it was two feet long.

I distinctly remember (probably because it is on video tape) Dad having us all pick up the mess of gift wrap and toys after Christmas and then telling us all (only 5 boys and 1 girl at the time!) to close our eyes. Then one by one, starting with my sister who was the youngest, wheeling in a brand new bicycle. Of course every bike after the second, he'd make a big deal about that being the last one, and "oh Mom, we forgot about the rest of them - let me see what else I can find in the garage". Being the oldest, I had to wait the longest, but I also got to enjoy the suspense longer than anyone else!
Thanks Dad. ![]()

I think Dad really forgot about me a few times..........The one that stands out to me was when we got the trash bags full of "hand me down" GI Joe stuff. We got tanks, Jets, Helicopters, Figures, small suv's with guns on top, and the small little guns that no parent would ever allow around their kids now because they might choke on it (I figured that was why Dad let us have them in the first place).
