They advertise this quite often on the air and they sell out the gift certificates frequently. It's a win-win for both the station and the advertiser.

This is an interesting approach versus just posting a coupon. Creative element to intrigue the advertiser, limits the amount of coupons that can be used, and places a sense of urgency to the user/consumer. The ranking element is useful as well.
