Anyone got a unique sales program they use for monthly publications? Especially if its focused around the holidays? My company is looking to boost revenue here in Nov, Dec & Jan.

My company does Holiday packages. We offer 4 different packages for the clients to choose from. The smallest package tailored more for the small business owner. We include in the packages, ROP(frequency), Holiday Gift Guide(Tab), and Holiday Edition of Homestyle(Home Magazine). Our inside sales team does project pages such as Holiday Postcards(children color postcards and send them in and a business sponsors each one) 12 Days of Christmas (12 Gift boxes on a full page), Don't Drink and Drive, New Years page. THese are only a few that we do, but have been the most profitable. Also a Year In Review tab on Dec. 31 helps to make your year. We started selling Holiday pkgs. 3 weeks ago and we have already generated over $30,000 in extra revenue.

Asammons posted some good ideas for the holiday ad selling season. Another category that has promise is "Things for Kids to do During the Day". Many working mothers are looking for activities for their kids during the holidays. Things such as baseball, football, soccer or chearleading camps are perfect time killers during the day.
How about providing a "Have a Grand New New" where merchants run ads (minimum size 1/4 page) and the merchants becomes a drop off point for a coupon for one lucky winner to receive $1,000. You could carry this promotion through the first quarter. Good luck to you.
