So here's a look at the first front page ad in the San Jose Mercury News (bottom right corner)! Click on image to see a larger photo. Many thought this would never happen. What do you think? Should newspapers begin to offer front page ads? What's good about it? What's bad about it? What of it(?) ... post your response.

Might be the worst laid out page I've ever seen. I have no problem with front page advertising but I would limit it to a 6x1 or 6x2 strip ads and I'd make the advertiser buy the whole week at a premium price. As a wise man once said "if it was by the week instead of by the day you'd only have to sell the space 52 times as opposed to 365 days a year." Also who runs a front page ad paying top dollar in black and white? not to bright(no pun intended.) if you ask me.
